WELCOME TO PCT 213
                   colour  managment and workflow

  • Basically we learned more about the camera and how to take and produce a picture that is meaningful and has its own meaning and significance. This site is for my final show assignments, Color Management & Workflow PCT 213.

WHITE BALANCE

  • what my understanding of White Balance is is the techniques and ways of photography and video that we try to produce neutral tones in a properly produced picture, i.e. a gray, colorless acromatic where white must be accurate. Otherwise, the color of the displayed image may differ significantly from the color of the original scene. White balance also refers to gray or neutral balance

COLOUR RESEARCH

  • My understanding of Color that I learned was a visual perception feature described through color categories with the names red, orange, yellow, green, blue or purple. Color theory is the science and art of using color. It describes the way humans see color and the visual effects of how colors mix, match or contrast colors with each other.

GOLDEN HOUR

  • In photography, what I learned about the golden hour is the period of daylight immediately after sunrise or before sunset, where the day is redder and softer than when the sun is higher in the sky. The golden clock is also sometimes called a "magic clock," especially by cinematographers. At these times, the brightness of the sky corresponds to the brightness of street lights, signboards, car lights and lighted windows.

The moment in the evening when
the sun sets or the day began to fade is known as
sunset. While waiting for the sunset, I enjoy holding the camera. Because it's difficult for me to capture and photograph sunset. Landscape photography is the technique used. I shot him in the street in front of my house.

ZONE SYSTEM

  • My understanding of zone system is to imagine values appearing in black-and-white print and to determine exposure and development, based on a color scale between 0 (black) to IX (white).

Ansel Adams and Fred Archer developed the Zone System, which is a photographic technique for calculating optimal film exposure and development. I took it in the area of my house.

Street photography is a type of photography that focuses on capturing daily life in public spaces. Because of the openness of the atmosphere, photographers are able to shoot vivid photographs of strangers without their knowledge. The setting for filming is an art fair. I used a portrait shooting style and converted the images to black and white. This photograph appeals to me since it shows the seller direct eye contact and expressing a reaction on his face.
